Naming the dead

Sun Jan 7, 2007, 4:55 PM
My little 9-year-old daughter has taken to naming dead animals. Every dead critter that she happens upon gets an individual name (even those we pass on the side of the road). She's also recently concerned with how lonely cows may get. I know how she feels. It's only Jan 7, but I'm ready for March 21. I found myself online ordering seeds today. Luckily, my big Christmas present was a Barnes and Noble gift card, so I'm well stocked with good books.

I've made my way from Michigan to North Georgia...I didn't get far enough South it would seem.

not sure...rain might have something to do with it...It's spring, half the garden has been planted and the pile of topsoil out back a constant reminder of what I'd rather be doing....
